KVS organized a photo exhibition program, regarding to aware the student of school specially on Earthquake Disaster. the program was the awareness program to support the flagship Area 1 (School & Hospital Safety- Structural & non structural aspect of making school & hospital Earthquake resilient)

The program held in Gyankunj Higher secondary school, Machha-gate Ravibhawan, Kathmandu   in collaboration with Gyankunj Alumni Association on December 2nd 2011,1 PM on-wards

Free Health Check-up Camp
September 22, 2007 (Ashoj 5, 2064) - Free Health Check-up Program was held in Ashoj 5, 2064. In the Health Check-up program, health check-up was made by Nepali and Korean Doctors, Kidney Screening Service from National Kidney Center, Rehabilitation Service from Brain Foundation Nepal, Reproductive Health Check-up from Safe the Motherhood Network. Further, lectures on Kidney Disease by Dr. Rishi Kumar Kafle, Dr. Ashok Shrestha, Diabetes by Dr. Ram Krishna Dulal, Consequences of High Blood Pressure by Dr. Ashok Shrestha/Dr. Binaya Regmi and Counseling/Interaction Lecture on healthy Diet by Ms. Rshmi Shrestha was also made. Main Organizer of the program is Health Care Foundation Nepal (HECAF) and KOICA Alumni Association (KAAN), the program was held with special support by KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency). About Eight Hundred (800) people were benefited from the program, and seventy (70) volunteers contributed in the program. The program was coordinated by Sunil Shrestha.
First Aid Training Program
September 1 – 4, 2007 (Bhadra 15-18, 2064) - The First Aid training was carried on four days for the participants of 7 and 8 wards of Kirtipur Municipality in association with Ganesh Man Singh  Foundation. Total Thirty Six (36) participated in the training. Mr. Harsha Man Maharjan, Coordinator of disaster management coordinated the program.
Volunteer Service at Bagh Bhairab Mela
August 16, 2007 (Srawan 31, 2064) - Kirtipur Volunteer Society volunteered by distributing water to devotees in the religious program organized to mark the public showcase of main deity of Bagh Bhairab after 25 years. Himalaya Spring contributed 30 jars of water for the occasion. Mr. Kiran Manandhar coordinated the event. Twenty (20) Volunteers were involved in the program.
KVS Educational Counseling and Exhibition III (Third)
June 16, 2007 (Ashad 2, 2064) - To enlighten the SLC appeared students for choosing right faculty in right college with cost effective, third Kirtipur Volunteer Society educational counseling and expo was organized. Nineteen (19) Higher Secondary Schools/Colleges participated in the exhibition with Stall presentation. In counselling program Experts from different faculty such as Dr. Ram Krishna Maharjan, Dr. Nanda B. Maharjan, Er. Hari Shrestha, Ms. Mandira Wanta, Mr. Shree Kumar Maharjan counseled the students on respective faculty. Sixteen Hundred (1600) students participated in the program. The program was held in Kirti Bihar, Kirtipur. Mr. Rojesh M. Pradhan, Treasurer of Kirtipur Volunteer Society coordinated the program. Fifty (50) Volunteers were involved in the program.
Idea Sharing Program (Ninth)
July 12, 2007 (Ashad 28, 2064) - In the youth sharing series, Mr. Babu Raja Maharjan, President NRN New Zealand discussed about prospect of opportunity for youths in New Zealand. Twenty (20) youths participated in the program.
Volunteer Service at Matsyagaon Mela
June 2, 2007 (Jestha 19, 2064) - On the occasion of the religious fair, Purusottam Mela, Kirtipur Volunteer Society volunteered by distributing drinking water to devotees. Srijana Mineral Water contributed 50 jars of water for the occasion. Mr. Saral G. Maharjan coordinated the program. Thirty Five (35) Volunteers were involved in the program.
Conservation, Preservation and Promotion of Water Resources
May 26, 2007 (Jestha 12, 2064) - A day workshop on the conservation, preservation and promotion of water resources within Kirtipur Muncipality was organized. Mr. Basanta Maharjan and Mr. Biswo raut made presentations on history and status of traditional water resources. The program was supported by NGO Forum. Mr. Bikash Dangol coordinated the program. Sixty (60) individuals from different Government institutions, NGOs/CBOs participated in the program.
Donation of Books to School Library
May, 2007 (Baisakh, 2064) - Donation of books to school library- Books and resource materials as requested by Kirtipur Ma. Vi. were donated. Mr. Rabindra Bahadur Pradhan, President donated the books in a program. Mr. Sunil Shrestha, Executive Member was also present on the occasion.
Idea Sharing Program (Eight)
May 11, 2007 (Baisakh 28,2064)- Kipoo Applied Science and Research Group presented their ideas on 'Charkha Model' developed for Light Energy. Ten (10) Youths participated in the program.
Public Security Reform Workshop
May 9, 2007 (Baisakh 26. 2064) - "Public security Reform" workshop was organized on "May 9, 2007. The workshop was organized with support by DFID International's Enabling State Program (ESP). In the workshop, Representative from Security forces i.e. Nepal Police Force and Armed Police Force, Representative from political parties i.e Nepali Congress, Nepali Communist (UML), Nepali Communist (Maoist), Janamorcha Nepal, Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party etc, Representatives from Civil Society & NGOs/CBOs and Journalist participated the program. Mr. Nilesh Nakarmi, Secretary of Kirtipur Volunteer Society coordinated the program.
Orientation Program on Disaster Management
April 28, 2007 (Baisakh 15, 2064) - Orientation Program on Disaster Management held at Ward No. 2 on April 28, 2007. Trainees participated at Basic Disaster Management Training held on February, 2007 facilitated the participants of orientation program. Participants were from Woman Group (Aama Samuha) of Ward No. 2. April 11, 2007 (Chaitra 28, 2063) - Min Bajracharya, famous Photo Journalist was the resource person for the this idea sharing program. In this program, he shared his experience and light topic "Photography and Nepali youths".

Water Week Program (Day 7- Closing Ceremony)
March 24, 2007 (Chaitra 10, 2063) As closing of Water week, closing ceremony was scheduled on seventh day of water week. Mr. Krishna Prasad Acharya, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Physical Planning and Works were invited as Chief Guest of the Program. All the coordinators and volunteers were called for award distribution. For award distribution, Chief Guest and guests distributed the certificates to volunteers and coordinators. Mr. Krishna Prasad Acharya has expressed his view that conservation of historic and traditional water sources was essential to use these sources in emergency and disaster as well.   Water Week Program (Day 6- Board Installation)

Water Week Program (Day 5- Cleaning Campaign)
March 22, 2007 (Chaitra 8, 2063) - On the auspicious occasion of World Water Day 2007, KVS organized Water week Program. On the fifth day of water week , cleaning campaign was held. The Aarya Hiti and Thala Hiti was selected for the cleaning campaign. For the cleaning campaign, Tri-Ratna Bihar, Hill Town Int'l School, Mangal Ma. Vi. and local residents were approached and requested to support in the day. More than 150 participants gathered and cleaning campaign program succeeded. As a result, water floats from Dhungedhara after cleaning of Thala Hiti which has been stopped for half decades. In Cleaning Campaign, Rashmi Kiran Shrestha of NGO Forum for Urban Water and Sanitation and Anita Pradhan, Documentation Officer, Water Aid were also participated as observer. Mr. Saral Gopal Maharjan coordinated the cleaning campaign program.
Water Week Program (Day 4- Water Quality Testing)
March 21, 2007 (Chaitra 7, 2063) - For fourth day of Water week , water quality was tested. In this day, Households of Tyangla Phant were informed and Golden Rays School was camped for water testing. During the water quality testing forty five households gave the sample for testing. Technician from NGO Forum for Urban Water and Sanitation Mr. Madan Suwal tested and report was distributed accordingly. In this day, Mr. Bhushan Tuladhar, Executive Director, ENPHO has given some suggestions about water quality to local residents of Tyangla, Kirtipur.
Water Week Program (Day 3- Documentary Show)
March 20, 2007 (Chaitra 6, 2063) - Dhunge dhara is a very amazing technology that stills the water is flowing from the sources which are made around 1500 years before. So, to make know about this technology, documentary show was organized on third day of water week . In this day documentary made by Kantipur Television and NEFEJ was showed. Beside this, Presentation of Traditional Water Sources of Kirtipur by Mr. Gyanu Raja Maharjan. Documentary was shown on Krishna Catering Hall at Naya Bazaar.
Water Week Program (Day 2- Water Walk)
March 19, 2007 (Chaitra 5, 2063) - As second day of water week , water walk was organized. For the walk, gathering venue was office of Kirtipur Volunteer Society, and founder president of TURGAN, Mr. Dwarika Das Rajbhandari also guide the participants. Water walk started from Arya Hiti and walk ended at Taga Wopi. During the water walk, Kirtipur Municipality, Ward No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 17 was visited.
Anniversary Program (Second)
March 19, 2007 (Chaitra 5, 2063) - On the occasion of second anniversary of Kirtipur Volunteer Society, computer was installed at the secretariat of Kirtipur Volunteer Society by the donation of its wide hearted members and well wishers, the inaugural of the same was done by Mr. Rabindra B. Pradhan, president by operating the computer. Similarly on the same day, the welcome board was installed near Laboratory School, Kirtipur. The sample water walk was carried on in the afternoon. In the evening, the lightening of oil fed lamps was done in Dakshinkali Mai Temple of Kirtipur.
Water Week Program (Day 1- Photo Exhibition)
March 18, 2007 (Chaitra 4, 2063) - On first day of Water week , Photo of 30 different Water sources in Kirtipur has been displayed in Bagh Bhairab, Ward No. 1, Kirtipur. In photo exhibition, interaction with local old people and others. Beside this, the local artist Mr. Ram Krishna Bhandari, demonstrate how stone spout is made. In the end of the exhibition, one of the local expert Dr. Chandra man Bajracharya also guide and shared his expertise regarding water sources. During exhibition, different names of water sources were updated. From the participants, feedback form was also filled by visitors.
Idea Sharing Program with Sangina Baidhya (Sixth)
March 14, 2007 (Falgun 30, 2063) - Sangina Baidhya, famous Taekwando Player who first qaulified to play Olympic game from qualifying round was the resource person for the this idea sharing program. In this program, she shared her experience and motivate youths for the betterment of one's education as well as sports.
Orientation & Exhibition Program on Disaster Management
March 8, 2007 (Falgun, 2063) - On the occasion of Woman Day, Orientation & Exhibition Program on Disaster Management held at Ward No. 12 on March 8, 2007. Trainees participated at Basic Disaster Management Training held on February, 2007 facilitated the visitors of exhibition, further Woman Group (Aama Samuha) are also oriented regarding Disaster Preparedness and awareness. More than three hundred (300) visitors participated in the exhibition and about 100 individuals participated in the orientation program. Mr. Sijan Maharjan coordinated the program.
Basic Disaster Management Training
February 16, 17, 19, 2006 (Falgun 4, 5, & 7, 2063) - Basic Disaster Management Training was organized on Falgun 4, 5 & 7, 2063, participants from Eighteen (18) wards of Kirtipur participated in the training program. The training was organized with the support of LWF/DIPECHO-CPDRR. The trainers of the program were Mr. Akarshan Pradhan, Anil Maharjan, Mr. Pushpa R. Poudel & Mr. Karuna Shrestha of Red Cross. On the closing day of the training Secretary General of Red Cross Mr. Dev Ratna Dhakhwa gave certificates to the participants.

February10, 2007 ( Magh 27, 2063) - The screening of the film related with musical interest in youths called, "For those about to rock, we salute you". Director of the movie Mr. Abinash B. Shah, interacted with the viewers after the movie.

Review Program
October 28, 2006 (Kartik 11, 2063) - The review program on activities of Kirtipur Volunteer Society to get feedback and to picture the future path was organized. The paper of 5 years plan Kirtipur Volunteer Society was presented by Mr. Sudhan Subedi while Mr. Prajwol Pradhan presented paper on Development Museum, Mr. Sunil Shrestha presented on public maternity hospital, Mr. Nilesh Nakarmi presented on education expo programs and Mr. Saral G. Maharjan presented paper on various aspects of society. The remarks on presented paper were made by Dr. Ram Krishna Maharjan, Mr. Madan G. Pradhan and Mr. Dasrath Baniya. The chairperson of the program, Mr. Rabindra B. Pradhan informed all that the suggestions received would be followed in the days to come.
Dashain Greeting Program

Launching Program of Development Museum Project
September 16, 2006 (Bhadra 31, 2063) - A Development Museum, a youth development project, national award winner project was launch on the day of Second AGM. Rainwater Harvesting Model was displayed on the launch program. Project Coordinator Prajwal Pradhan make light on the project.
Second Annual General Meeting
September 16, 2006 (Bhadra 31, 2063) - The second annual general meeting of Kirtipur Volunteer Society was inaugurated on Bhadra 31, 2063 by Dr. Boswo Maskey of Rotery Club Health Depatment by lighting the panas. The chair person Mr. Maskey, Mr. Nil Kantha Amatya, Chartered President of Lions Club of Kirtipur, Mr. Dasrath Baniya, Ex. Secretary of RUNVAN  and Mr. Rabindra B. Pradhan, President of Kirtipur Volunteer Society jointly inauaguared the website of Kirtipur Volunteer Society- www.volunteerkvs.org.np. Mr. Sailesh Amatya designed the website for free while Mr. Sailen Karmacharya donated 10 MB space. The program was coordinated by Mr. Bikash Maharjan, life member.
The closed session began with the chairmanship of Mr. Rabindra B. Pradhan, president. Mr. Nilesh Nakarmi, secretary presented report of 2062/63 and Mr. Rojesh M. Pradhan presented the financial statement of 2062/63 and programs for 2063/64. The questions raised by the members were answered by the president and other working committee members. The session was adjourned by thanking all those who have committed to contribute Rs. 1 per day and Rs. 100 per month.
Second Convention of Safe Motherhood
August 28-29,2006 (Bhadra 12-13, 2063) - Mr. Sunil Shrestha, Executive Member of Kirtipur Volunteer Society participated in the second convention of safe motherhood organized on Bhadra 12-13, 2063. The stall of Kirtipur Volunteer Society was also kept on the occasion.
The convention was inaugurated by Hon'ble Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister, Mr. Amik Serchan. Papers related with laws, social issues and technical issues regarding safe motherhood was presented on the occasion. Mr.  Rabindra B. Pradhan, president of Kirtipur Volunteer Society and member of safe motherhood network presided in the closing session where Mr. Mahendra Bista, DG of Health Service Department was the chief guest and the chairman of the network Ms. Arzoo Rana Deuba and other dignitaries put forth their views. 
Beautician Training Program (Second)
July-December 2006 (Shrawan – Poush 2063) - As there was growing demand for beautician training, Kirtipur Volunteer Society filed proposal for organizing training and which was finally approved. The next session of the training began on Srawan 17, 2063 by lighting the panos by the trainers Ms. Susheela KC. Mr. Kiran Kumar Manandhar coordinated this session of training. Twenty Five (25) trainees were participated in the training program.
Education Counseling and Expo II (Second)
June 10, 2006 (Jestha 27, 2063) - This program was organized on Jestha 27, 2062 to facilitate the SLC appeared students to pursue their further studies in Nagar Mandap Shree Kirti Viahar. 16 stalls of educational institutions were in the expo, more than 1100 students participated in the exhibition. In counselling expert academicians such as Mr.Jagannath Adhikari, Dr. Ram Krishna Maharjan, Er. Prashant Mandal, Prof. Dr. Nanda Bahadur Maharjan, Mr, Ramnath Khanal did facilitate to students on respective faculties. Certificates and tokens of appreciation were awarded on the occasion for participating colleges, sponsors, volunteers, and other helping institutions. Mr. Prajwol M. Pradhan coordinated the program.

June, 2006 - A logo printed Kirtipur Volunteer Society T-Shirts were sold among its members on the occasion of second education counseling and expo.
Interaction with Political Parties on Community Maternity Hospital

May 13, 2006 (Baisakh 30, 2063) - On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, Kirtipur Volunteer Society sold the poster of Kirtipur Bihar as part of fund raising program. All these posters were contributed by Mr. Rabindra Bahadur Pradhan, President, the event was coordinated by Mr. Rojesh M. Pradhan.
Anniversary Celebration Program (First)
March 18, 2006 (Chaitra 5, 2062) - On the occasion of anniversary of Kirtipur Volunteer Society, lighting program on the theme of "Deepawali for long-lasting peace" was organized on Chaitra 5, 2062 in the premises of Bagh Bhairab temple, which is the holy temple of Kirtipur. Total 57 persons participated in the program including members, local people, and journalists.

March 2, 2006 (Baisakh 19, 2063) - The workshop was organized on "Presentation skills and Leadership Development Commitment in Action" by Development Museum, Kirtipur Volunteer Society. The facilitator of the program was Mr. Rupendra Maharjan, chairman of Development Museum.

Beautician Training Program (First)
January-July 2006(Magh – Asar 2062/63) - Six months Beautician Training Program was organized with technical support of Vocational and Skill Development Training Center, Bhaisepati, Government of Nepal. Nineteen (19) trainees were participated in the training program. On July 14, 2006 (Asar 30, 2063) the closing ceremony of beautician training was organized which began The program was chaired by Mr. Rabindra B. Pradhan and the chief guest was Mr. Rohini KC, director of  VocationalTraining Center. Mr. Tulsi N. Bhattarai, CEO of Kirtipur Muncipality was guest of the program. A token of love was presented to Ms. Sushila KC, trainers and Mr. Amir B. Shsrestha, founder President of Pasapucha Club. The training was held in the building of Pasha Pucha Club, Khashibazar. During training programs, 500 people got free hair cutting. The training was coordinated by Mr. Saral G. Pradhan.
Project Management Training
December-January 2005-06 (Poush, 2062) - With technical support of Sai Om Job Support Training Center, Kirtipur Volunteer Society organized project management training exclusively for its board members. 9 people including board members of this society participated in the training.
First Annual General Meeting (AGM)
December 31, 2005 (Poush 16, 2062) - First general assembly of Kirtipur Volunteer Society was organized on Poush 16, 2062. Mr. Sudhan Subedi, then Secretary presented the report of fiscal year 2061/062 and Mr. Sanjeevan Shrestha, the then Treasurer presented the financial statement of 061/062 and budget of 062/063. The election for new working committee members elected Mr. Rabindra B. Pradhan, President, Mr. Sudhan Subedi, vice-president, Mr. Nilesh Nakarmi, secretary, Mr. Rojesh M. Pradhan, Treasurer and Mr. Prajwol Pradhan, Mr. Kirtan Pradhan, Mr. Sunil Shrestha, Mrs. Purna Shova Risal and Mr. Saral G. Maharjan as members. The election committee comprised of Mr. Pushpa R. Poudel, coordinator and Mr. Akarshan Pradhan, member.

Orientation on Millenium Development Goal
December 3, 2005 (Magh 18,2062)- On the occasion of international volunteer day, Kirtipur Volunteer Society and RUNVAN jointly organized an interaction program on "the role of volunteers on achieving millennium development goals". Mr. Rabindra B. Pradhan, president delivered the welcome remarks while Ms. Lalita Thapa, president of RUNVAN and Mr. Betris B. Cook, UN Volunteer discussed on the role volunteers on achieving millennium development goals. The participants actively participated in the interaction session with their generous queries.

Blood Donation Program
October 29, 2005 (Kartik 12, 2062) - To fulfill the crunch of blood in blood bank, on the occasion of its inaugural Kirtipur Volunteer Society organized blood donation program. Total 46 persons donated the blood. Mr. Gayanu Raja Maharjan, life member of Kirtipur Volunteer Society coordinated the program.

October 29, 2005 (Kartik 12, 2062) - The formal inaugural of Kirtipur Volunteer Society was made on Inaugral Ceremony on Kartik 12, 2062. Mr. Hitkarbir Singh Kansakar, Chairman of Paropakar Sanstha inauagurated by lighting the panas. Prof. Krishna Khanal, Lion Kayamuddin, Ex. Mayor Hirakaji Maharjan, Ex Mayor Sishir Pd. Dhital and Vice-President of Nepal Jaycees Mr. Dipak Bista were present as guests. Participants from local clubs, life members and members of Kirtipur Volunteer Society were present on the occasion. Volunteer Service for Dipankha Yatras' devotees
October 17, 2005 (Ashwin 31, 2062) - Kirtipur Volunteer Society volunteered by providing medicines, foot massage, crowd managing in Dipankha Yatra which was observed after the gap 76 years. The Yatra, which was organized by Dipankha Guthi of Naghbahal, Lalitpur began from 3 am and the volunteering program was carried from 7 am till 4 pm. at Chovar, Kirtipur. About 40 individuals volunteered and different individuals contributed by providing medicines.
Educational Seminar and Exhibition I (First)
June 11, 2005 (Jestha 28, 2062) - To facilitate the SLC appeared students to pursue their further studies, Educational Seminar and Exhibition was organized in Kirtipur. Three educational institutions, One Publication house participated in the program and the representatives of those institutes did counseling to students. More than 400 students participated in this program. The program was coordinated by Mr. Nilesh Nakarmi.
Financial Contribution for Tsunami Victims
February24, 2005 (Falgun 3, 2061) - A fund raising program was organized for the victims of December 2005 Tsunami. Total fund collected – NRs.12,000 was submitted to Sri-Lankan embassy on 24 February, 2005.
